Welcome to the Chess-Results.info Server
Chess-Results.info is a dedicated, powerful and reliable
server, which I have
set up especially for the Chess Olympiad 2008 in Dresden.
I will use the "normal" Chess-Results.com server
as backup or for load balancing.
Chess-Results.info will closely co-operate with the official
homepage of the organizer. The organizer is going to embed the chess-results.info result/statistic
pages with an IFRAME in the official homepage.
Special thanks to Microsoft Austria which
supported me with a free server licence of the SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition for this server.

38th Chess Olympiad 2008 in Dresden
From 12th to 25th November the 38th Chess Olympiad
takes place in Dresden.
There will be a new participant record. At the moment 152 participant federations are
registered. In the Open competition ("man section") it is played, as usual, on
4 boards (in this year only 1 substitute, the olypmiads before 2 substitutes).
In the women competition the boards were increased from 3 to 4 with 1 substitute.
Also new is the number of rounds, which was decreased from 13 (in Turin) to 11 rounds.
In it the pairing rules were (for me unfortunately) adapted.
